Flexibility and Markets Development Lead Power Generation & Distribution (Mining, Resources & Energy) Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Flexibility and Markets Development Lead reporting to our Head of Market and Customer Innovation. It's exciting times in the energy sector and we need to keep up to date and lead the way with the development and trial of novel market solutions to incentivise demand-side flexibility. This role puts you at the heart of that and we are open to listening to new ways and ideas.  Flexibility is a hot topic in the industry and rapidly evolving, so we understand you might not tick all the boxes. The role Trial novel market solutions to incentive flexibility and unlock the value of flexibility to consumers, the distribution network and wider system Develop relevant processes, products, services and tools to implement solutions at scale Inform the development of market setting to support access to flexibility and coordination  Understand flexibility business models and opportunities to maximise participation Liaise across the business to identify the value associated with our flexibility needs Monitor and leverage insights from flexibility initiatives across NZ and globally Engage in industry forums to develop aligned solutions and implement best practices  Manage innovative projects, including documentation, scope, budgets, risks and reporting About you Be highly motivated to grow and support innovative actions – this is a hot topic in the sector, so you'll need to think outside the box Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject  Strong understanding of the New Zealand electricity market and demand-side flexibility; transferrable knowledge from other roles in the sector  Ability to implement and adopt global and local insights, markets, concepts and trends across the business Be able to feel comfortable working in a dynamic environment across various cross-functional teams We offer You'll find at Orion, you can come as you are and just be you.
