Start Date - As soon aspossibleHours - 1.0FTE (40 hours a week)Status - Fixed Term for 12 monthsLocation - Corporate Office, Christchurch City CentreSalary -As part of the Administration and Clerical Pay Equity Claim settlement thisrole has been mapped to National Band 6For further information about the administration and clericalpay equity settlement - Administration and Clerical Pay Equity - Te Whatu Ora -Health New ZealandMo te tunga About the roleThe Payroll kapa (team) is a fundamental part of the HR SharedServices (HRSS) whanau (family).They tautoko (support) the largestworkforce in the South Island ensuring we pay our kaimahi (staff) accurately,on time, every time.They - re hard-working and dedicated delivering their mahi(work) to high standards putting the kaimahi (staff) at the centre of what theydo.We are seeking a motivated Payroll Officer to join our Legislation andCompliance kapa (team) within our Payroll Department.This is a busy role where youwill be responsible for development and delivery of excellent customer serviceexperience, make timely and accurate payments to kaimahi (staff) of the WaitahaCanterbury, maintain employee records and work closely with the HRSS kapa (team).You will be responsible for :Calculating work and non-work related ACC payments.Providing accurate and prompt information to WellNZ and ACC.Liaising with all HRSS teams to ensure a timely pay run.Loading pay data into the Payroll system.Co-ordinating, training, and supporting other team members.Answering employee related queries with a confidential and empathetic approach.Liaise wither other Te Whatu Ora kaimahi (staff), WellNZ and ACC to obtain accurate ACC claim details.Investigation and resolution of payments.Ko wai koe About YouTo be successful in this role, you should be comfortable in acomplex, diverse and fast-paced work environment.We need someone who - sresilient, driven, works well under pressure and is unphased by delivering to deadlineswhile achieving a high level of accuracy.This role would suit anenergetic problem solver with a keen eye for detail who can adapt their styleand focus when the need arises.Drive and determination to deliverexcellent customer service is a must.Nga pukenga me nga wheako Skills and experienceUnderstanding of ACC payment legislation and Holidays act.Experience in health or related field.Considerable experience processing Payroll, experience with Superannuation, Kiwi Saver, Deductions, IR Filing and taxation is required.Accurate numeracy and keyboard skills.Competent user of Microsoft Suite applications and proficient user of Microsoft Excel.Strong attention to detail.Sound organisational and time management skills to meet tight deadlines.Nga hua - BenefitsOngoing training and developmentHealth New Zealand Te Whatu Ora employee benefitsClose to public transportWhen you work atthe Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora, you are part of a wider whanau that willsupport you along your journey.We offer great coaching, mentoring and learningoutcomes for all staff.
