About the role This role assists with the effective delivery of the Finance function to improve the effectiveness of the organisation in achieving its goals in the areas of strategic financial management, risk management and statutory reporting.
Who we are looking for Ideally, you will possess:
Tertiary qualification majoring in Accounting/ Finance, e.g. NZQA Diploma (Level 5) or DegreeSound knowledge of financial controlsSound knowledge of financial and management reporting systems, principles, and standardsAbility to analyse complex issues resulting in the development of solutions that promote the efficient and effective use of resources in a timely manner.High degree of integrity with the ability to maintain strict confidence especially when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.What we offer We offer a flexible working environment, competitive remuneration, and varied learning and career progression opportunities across the wider Council group.
