Due to rapid growth, this innovative organisation, an industry leader in their delivery of digital healthcare services, is looking for a Financial Accounting Manager to manage the organisation’s financial, accounting and payroll operations.
The Role | Turanga
Overseeing the accounting operation, managing financial transactions and owning the general ledger, the Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for the key aspects of the day-to-day financial controls and financial reporting.
Your ability to focus on compliance and the technicalities of accounting, whilst using your natural analytical ability will ensure high quality information and analysis can be delivered, supporting the organisation and the Executive.
Responsibilities| Nga haepapa
With responsibility for the accounts receivable, payable and payroll functions, and preparing the financial accounts, you will more specifically be:
Preparing and analysing financial reports
Ensuring financial compliance with external reporting (NZ GAAP & NZ IFRS RDR) and tax obligations
Monitoring, evaluating, and managing all aspects of cash flow
Managing and coordinating the year end audit and statutory accounts
Liaising with external advisors including the bank, auditors, tax agents and insurance brokers
Leading all aspects of technical accounting for the organisation
Supporting the payroll team to deliver accurate payrolls on time
Streamlining the accounting function and operations, ensuring appropriate internal controls
Supporting the Commercial Accountant and Head of Finance by contributing to management accounts and Board packs, budget, and forecast cycles
Managing system issues, development and reporting for the ERP (Netsuite)
Leading, coaching, and developing a team of 2-3 accounts staff

Your background | Ou pukenga
This role would be an ideal next step from CA practice into industry.
Chartered Accountant Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), CPA or relevant overseas professional qualification
Proven financial accounting and reporting experience.
A background in audit would beneficial
Technically savvy with a solid knowledge of MS Excel

Compliance oriented and highly analytical
Self-starter with strong time management skills - deadline oriented mind-set
