As the Financial Accountant in this large, fast paced organisation, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring high quality and efficient financial management and advice. With a team of up to five direct reports, you'll coach and mentor your own team, and other non-financial people within the organisation. The industry is complex, and provides ongoing challenges for a proactive and forward-thinking finance team.
We are ideally seeking interest from people with the following experience and attributes: Strong financial accounting experience (IFRS)Knowledge of payroll legislationProven leadership with a focus on culture and performanceHigh level problem solving capabilityInterpersonal skills that impressThe ability to engage effectively with non-financial employeesProject and/or business transformation experienceA passion for continuous improvement and positive changeYour key responsibilities will be varied, but focused primarily on the areas of: Leading, coaching and developing a team of high performing individualsFinancial management including reports, budgets, and forecastsPreparing annual statementsLeading and/or participating in process/system transformationOverseeing the payroll functionReviewing work completed by your teamEnsuring alignment with the organisation's purpose and visionYou may be ready for your next leadership role, or you may have informally been leading a team, and are ready to step up to a formal leadership position.
