About the opportunity

This is a newly created opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join the Finance Team in a permanent full-time position. You will take responsibility for key finance deliverables and provide advanced technical accounting support to the organisation. The role is based at the Norwood Support Office in Palmerston North.

Some of the key responsibilities:  Management and reconciliation of the general ledgerPreparation of month end/year-end financial statementsWorking with the team to prepare annual budgetsPreparation of annual tax returnsCompliance with statutory and taxation requirementsLiaising with external auditorsContinuous improvement and recommendations on system updates and enhancementsTo be successful we see these things as important Strong financial analysis and reconciliation skillsProven track record in a role with similar responsibilitiesAccuracy and attention to detailStrong IT system skills (ideally D365)Experience and enthusiasm to build partnerships and work collaboratively as part of a teamA drive for ongoing professional and personal growth Some of the benefits that we can offer you Premier Health Business cover with NIB If you're self motivated and have a robust accounting background, then apply now.
