We are in search of a proficient Financial Accountant with expertise in the Xero platform, coupled with strong project management and cost accounting skills. In this role, you will not only be responsible for managing financial records and ensuring compliance but also for overseeing projects, controlling costs, and optimizing financial processes. Responsibilities: Financial Record Management : Maintain accurate financial records using the Xero platform, ensuring data integrity and compliance with accounting standards. Project Management : Lead and coordinate financial projects from inception to completion, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and monitoring progress against milestones. Cost Accounting : Implement cost accounting methodologies to track and analyze expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource utilization across projects and departments. Financial Reporting : Prepare regular financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, leveraging Xero's reporting capabilities to provide insights into financial performance. Budgeting and Forecasting : Develop and manage budgets for projects and departments, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and monitoring variances against forecasts. Tax Compliance : Ensure compliance with tax regulations by accurately calculating and filing taxes through the Xero platform, staying updated on changes in tax laws that may impact financial operations. Risk Management : Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with projects and operational activities, implementing controls and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions. Process Improvement : Continuously assess and improve financial processes and procedures, leveraging Xero's features and other tools to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation. Team Collaboration : Collaborate cross-functionally with project teams, department heads, and external stakeholders to drive financial initiatives, provide guidance on financial matters, and support decision-making. Training and Development : Provide training and support to team members on the use of the Xero platform, project management methodologies, and cost accounting principles to build capacity and enhance performance. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is preferred. Proven experience in financial accounting, project management, and cost accounting, with expertise in utilizing the Xero platform. Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial analysis, and project management methodologies. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software tools. Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy, compliance, and meeting deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
