Head office is based in Palmerston North however the role can be remote / WFH ; ideally in Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch alongside other members of the team. The role... Reporting to a Head of Finance (who is based in Wellington) we are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to provide their experience and expertise to implement financial processes, procedures, reporting tools, and accuracy of data. As the business has grown and evolved, the financial reporting process and reporting tools need to align to better support future scale and decision-making. Initially, you will be involved in getting the foundations up to the level of growth but this role can then evolve into Financial / Commercial analysis and Projects (Systems/Tech, Commercial partnering) Your regular tasks initially will include: Preparation and review of existing, monthly, and year-end financial reports, analysing the relevance and value that they provide and making changes where needed. Ownership of the billing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in generating customer invoices. Cashflow analysis and forecasting, include financial modeling and ARR revenue analysis. Advice on best practices with financial systems and data to ensure accurate, detailed, and timely information is easily accessible and presented in a meaningful way. Supporting the preparation & presentation board reporting packs Business process improvement & continuous improvement. What you'll bring to the team... You must have strong accounting foundations and experience with best practices around robust reporting, tools, systems, and processes. Someone with experience in Financial Accounting & Analysis would be ideal. You will need to have Financial Accounting and reporting experience where you have implemented processes, procedures, and controls that have created greater confidence and insights for the business. This is a small team so you need to be of the mindset of mucking in and supporting where needed, be confident in presenting your ideas and recommendations on what needs to be implemented to support scale, and not be afraid to ask questions. Travel Travel will required to Palmerston North (covered by the company) initially 1-2 days per week for the first few weeks to meet the team and build relationships with the business leaders you will be supporting.
