Financial Accountant

This is a 6 month fixed term role to cover parental leave starting asap until the end of August.  This role is not location dependent and can be in any of our 3 operating centres, Auckland, Tauranga or Wellington. The roleThe Financial Accountant will work with the small Finance team supporting to deliver business-wide financial activities.  This includes; Assisting with month-end financial reporting, reconciliations and working papers Assisting in the preparation of monthly management reporting Assisting with forecasting and monitoring cash flow Assisting with ad-hoc finance requests Assisting with budgeting and forecasting Comply with the Delegated Financial Authority and ensure compliance of the process including reviewing inconsistencies or opportunities for improvement Assisting with financial reporting against business KPIs Bank reconciliations Accounts receivables and payables Ensure the maintenance and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including debtors Credit card coding and credit card requests Support the monthly payroll Review timesheets against the payroll system to ensure accuracy of information Maintain confidential HR and personnel information with financial information The CandidateAt least 3 years experience as an accountant Strong attention to detail Experience using Xero Excellent verbal and written communication Bachelor's degree/Equivalent in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance, or related field Advanced Microsoft Excel user High level of computer literacy For the full job description or more information please email
