Who are we looking for
We have an opportunity for a Finance professional to lead our Rates and Credit Control team! In this role you will be responsible for everything to do with Rates management from raising the charges to collecting the money. This role is crucial to revenue generation and cash flow that enables Council to meet the needs of the Community.
You will need to multi-task, meet deadlines and solve problems. You will be comfortable with change and in fact you will be looking for and implementing ways to do things better. As part of the Finance team you will actively contribute by looking out for others, supporting and empowering them.
You will have a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance and ideally at least five years' experience in a financial environment with an excellent analytical and problem solving skill set and the ability to work well under pressure. In addition it is essential you have strong communication and leadership experience as well as effective staff management skills.
