Finance Officer – Accounts PayableAllabout the job Weare seeking an experienced finance officer who is agile and adaptable and willenjoy working in a changing environment. This is a fixed term role until 20 June2025, covering a team members parental leave.
Inthis job you will:
be responsible for accurate and timely processing of financialtransactionskeep the customer at the centre of your thinking and deliver ahigh level of customer service to internal and external customerscover all accounts payable functions for Council as wellbringing a positive approach to covering other duties as requiredprovide positive and engaging support and training to users onelectronic purchasing order (EPO) processesAll about you Ideally,you'll be available for an immediate start. It would be fabulous if you haveexperience in accounts payable or equivalent finance transaction processing.

have a strong focus on delivering quality customer service andenjoy adding value to the teamare excellent at analysing data with strong numeric andproblem-solving skillsare detail oriented and ensure a high level of accuracy in yourworkhave a positive 'can do' attitude and easily adapt to changeare super organised, have the ability to establish priorities andmeet deadlinesare tech-savvy with the ability to learn new systems quickly.Ideally have some experience with FlexipurchaseAll about Porirua City PoriruaCity Council is rejuvenating and expanding to prepare for its future growth andcontinue to develop a resilient, liveable city for our future generations.
