Finance Business Partner Metering Who we are Vector is leading the transformation of the energy sector to create a new energy future and owns New Zealand s leading provider of electricity and gas metering services The business trades as Vector Metering We re on a mission to reinvent the way homes cities and communities are powered Vector Metering has installed over 1 6 million electricity smart meters in New Zealand and Australia owns over 200 000 gas meters and is the market leader in metering to the commercial and industrial sector About the role Our Finance Business Partner is a key member of the Vector Metering business team reporting directly into Vector s Group Manager Finance Competitive Market Working closely with the business and leadership team you will provide financial leadership commercial insights on business performance strategic and tactical insights on business opportunities You will also provide support on budgeting forecasting reporting and leading a small management accounting team In addition to this a big focus of this role will be on the Australian market to deliver the next phase of its growth while constantly managing challenges Other deliverables for this role Develop strong working relationships with the Competitive Markets Leadership team and their divisions to enable the Finance team to engage support and challenge the divisions around financial performance and tactical initiatives Evaluate and provide commercial support to the wider team with competitor assessment and strategy development in Australia and NZ Role can be based in either Auckland or Wellington Who we are looking for The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following Must have a relevant Chartered Accountant qualifications Knowledge of SAP or equivalent Advanced Excel and Powerpoint skills Highly developed leadership skills credibility and integrity 5 years experience in a senior finance role Ideally beginning in accounting and audit followed by experience gathering evaluating presenting and reporting financial information to executive teams and external stakeholders An indepth understanding of management financial regulatory and tax reporting Significant commercial acumen What we can offer you We take pride in our vision and values working together to create a new energy future Youll be joining a dynamic company that provides the ideal career environment for individuals with high calibre experience and skills Youll be offered a competitive salary a range of great benefits and the opportunity to grow your skills and make a real difference in a supportive highperforming team Vector engages a workforce made up of individuals with diverse skills values backgrounds and experiences Vector respects and values people who are different from each other including gender ethnicity disability age sexual orientation race and religion We welcome applications from all individuals www vector co nz
