This role is a great opportunity for an experienced financial professional to utilise their commercial experience and exposure to business partnering with key stakeholders to support decision-making and provide key insights. This newly created role will focus on providing detailed financial reporting and analysis of the Cedenco Group to key stakeholders, particularly the Japanese shareholders. Effective partnering and communication with both the shareholders and the business units to understand the drivers, challenges & opportunities, will be key to the success of this role. The Finance Business Partner responsibilities include: Provide analysis of all key management reports from the business units, to provide full understanding and transparency of information. Provide oversight and analysis of the financial reports to all stakeholders, liaising with respective finance personnel and managers. Work with Business units to help prepare annual budgets, and monthly / annual financial reports. Manage and provide oversight of the annual audits, liaising with external auditors & regulators. Fulfil all compliance requirements with NZ legislation and financial standards. Investigate, analyze and evaluate investment or divestment opportunities for existing or new entities, and support these processes to carry them through to successful conclusion. The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience: More than 5 years of proven experience in financial industry Solid accounting, auditing and investment principles knowledge, ideally both in NZ and Japan. Must be CA or CPA qualified. Proven experience building strong relationship with stakeholders, including shareholders, banks and regulators. Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese. Being the liaison between the Japanese shareholders and the various business units is a key requirement of the role, and as such, advanced level of both Japanese & English is required. High accuracy and critical analysis skills, with strong attention to detail. Experience with consolidated group accounting and subsidiaries. Experience in either F&B, dairy, aquaculture or manufacturing industries is preferred, but not essential.
