Job DetailsWe are seeking a permanent Factory Supervisor to join our Factory Freezer Trawler FV Aukaha. The vessel is based in Nelson, and trip lengths are 2 to 4 weeks on, 2 to 4 weeks off. This position reports to Factory Manager/Skipper as does the Factory Supervisor on the alternative watch.
Competencies Required
You must have sound knowledge of process and quality management principles.
Have experience in a factory processing environment and is familiar with all aspects of production operations.
Knowledge of appropriate fisheries regulations for factory vessels.
You will be able to operate/manage according to health and safety policies and procedures.
The ability to lead, motivate and manage factory crew including staff training development and control in a team environment

Things you should know about the job
The trip lengths vary from vessel to vessel ranging from two to four weeks
Trip on trip off. The amount of time you are out on the vessel, you will get the same amount of time off following
