Facial Models Technical Director (Facial Rigger)

Weta FX's Facial Models Department is now accepting applications for Technical Directors to join their world class team!This role will be working closely with the Facial Models HOD and other key stakeholders to deliver cutting-edge technology for the next stage in the evolution of Weta's facial pipeline.We are looking for candidates with the following skills:Experience working with Modelling and Rigging disciplinesFamiliarity with MEL and expert Python skills requiredA knowledge of facial anatomy desirableHighly organisedAbility to switch tasks at short noticeHighly committed and self-motivatedHigh attention to detail and accuracyAn understanding of facial motion capture principles and practicesAn understanding of facial scanningMaya C++ API desirable but not essential for this roleAt Weta FX we celebrate our diversity and believe in creating an environment where all our crew feel welcomed, respected, supported and appreciated.
