In this role you will lead the technical support provided for core applications by managing a team that troubleshoots, diagnoses, and resolves issues related to the use of these applications. This involved coordinating with developers to address bugs and implement solutions. This role also ensures the security and integrity of all applications and software within Suncorp NZ through technical and strategic leadership and proactive development of plans to mitigate security vulnerabilities and maintain a robust security posture. What you'll do Lead the technical changes, maintenance, and remediation of core platforms to support Suncorp's BAU business operations.Improve technical and cybersecurity change capabilities for platforms to support more effective engineering and delivery of change through a deep understanding of industry technical and cybersecurity best practice.Understand and actively champion the processes, practices, and ways of working which represent best practice and includes the adoption and application of SIAM processes and Cybersecurity practices to ensure that the operational minimum requirements are being met by all Domain operational teams.Support our technology simplification roadmap objectives through prioritisation, delivery, and supply of SMEs to complete initiatives that reduce complexity, cost and risk of "legacy / heritage" applications.Accountable for presenting technology system health, application cybersecurity status and risk to Suncorp NZ Non-Financial Risk Committee and business owners.Work with the vendor management office, partner teams and their representatives to ensure the operational SLAs and contractual expectations of partners are fully understood and being met by those partners.Accountable for ensuring correct technical decisions are made and solutions built, within architectural guardrails and cybersecurity standards.Direct the security and compliance activities for implementation and maintenance of IT security measures, including data protection, access controls, and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.What you'll bring Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience and/or applicable certifications. (Mandatory)ITIL v3/4 Foundations or relevant experience. (Mandatory)At least 5 - 10 years' experience working in a similar role and/or area within an Enterprise IT Environment.Technical Knowledge: strong understanding of various IT systems, hardware, software, and networking concepts.
