In this role you will manage internal and external communications, government relations and corporate social responsibility. This is a high-profile role for an experienced practitioner who is confident in dealing with senior stakeholders and external media. What you'll do Manage internal, external, and intermediated communications; government relation; and sustainability.Lead and enable our progress and demonstration in sustainability and ESG, including actively engaging key stakeholders and employees in events and communications.Lead the development and implementation of industry leading internal, external, intermediated, government relations and media relations plans.Lead a single communications team to deliver an effective, aligned, professional and coordinated communications strategy across all functions.Lead the design and delivery of a successful Sustainability plan.Lead and execute a content plan to demonstrate and validate the group strategy within the reputation expectations of NZ and Group Corporate Affairs.Enable the Corporate Affairs and Sustainability team to demonstrate Mahi Ngatahi by collaborating across all functions of the Group and creating value for all stakeholders. What you'll bring Tertiary education in communications/journalism related degree (Mandatory)Other qualifications in business, finance, science, or an associated field would be favourably viewed.Minimum 15 years communications experience, including at least 5 years in the media relations in a corporate environment.Experience managing people.Ability to provide sound strategic advice and provide mentoring/coaching to others to develop their corporate affairs skills.Proven experience in developing effective strategies to deliver Sustainability and ESG commitments, board accountabilities and business plans.Strong relationship building skills at a senior level.Highly organised with great attention to detail.
