Key Duties & Responsibilities: This is a role that will provide you with the opportunity to capitalise on your existing conveyancing and private client experience, working with a broad variety of clients from first-home buyers, local iwi and community groups, to large-scale international corporations.
You will be the first line of support to one of Christchurch's leading commercial and property partners, working across a variety of residential and commercial conveyancing, subdivisions and property development, commercial leasing, trust formation and administration, insurance and construction law, intellectual property, and M&A work.
On a daily basis, you will be involved in:
Providing executive-level support to practice partner, as well as overflow support to senior authors within the team. Companies office & PPSR attendances. Communicating with other administrative staff to ensure all deadlines are met and work is triaged appropriately among junior. Hands-on exposure across conveyancing files. Proofreading and basic drafting of legal documentation, including trust and shareholder agreements, letters of engagement, S&P agreements, and distribution of assets. Direct liaison with clients, including AML due diligence. Full diary and email management, including booking travel and facilitating meetings. Managing precedence. EOM billings. About You: Successful applicants will consider themselves to be highly efficient operators and have sound experience across a variety of residential and commercial conveyancing. You will be team-orientated, driven, and eager to gain exposure to a variety of high-level commercial and corporate business transactions, working to ensure a seamless process for all clients.
