Established in 1991, Open Home Foundation International is a Christian, care and protection agency based here in New Zealand but working with children and their families in India, Zambia, Uganda, Rwanda, Romania and will soon be in Peru. Our dream is that ?every child in the world will enjoy their God-given right to belong to a home, family and community where they know that they are precious, safe and loved?.
Our key point of difference is that for 29 years we have stood alongside partner organizations in the countries where we work to deliver care and protection of vulnerable and impoverished children training along with other training in life skills and community empowerment.
OHFI also assists partner organizations with development project funding, training & implementation for communities to become self-sustainable.
We are looking to appoint a full time Executive Director who aligned and committed to OHFI?s values as a prayerful follower of Jesus to lead our small team in the successful operation and growth of the organisation.
To be right for the role you will have:
strong Christian values and be prayerful
ethics and values that match the organisation
proven fund-raising achievement and familiarity with fund raising approaches
the ability to fund raise through presentations and communications with philanthropic trusts, donors and personal contacts
a high motivation to make a positive impact
social work understanding & empathy
an ability and the experience to work with Partner Organisations to identify and agree care and protection of children and other training needs, priorities and focus
strong stakeholder engagement and communication
timeliness and drive for agreed output deliveries
interpersonal savvy and a strong decision-making quality
an appreciation growing the funding base to a level sufficient to cover salary on a sustainable basis is key performance indicator for the role permanence
