Grand Millennium Hotel Auckland has a fantastic opportunity for an Executive Chef to join their Hotel. Passionate about food and service, the suitable candidate will demonstrate creativity and flair and have the ability to develop and motivate a competent team of chefs.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing and delivering food production, standards & presentation in both the buffet and a la carte restaurants to a Millennium Hotel standard
Proven record of high end function catering both on & off site
A solid understanding of budgets and the ability to forecast all Kitchens wages and expenses
Effective and proactive control of kitchen cost of sales & relative expenses
Creative menu development delivered seasonally
High level planning and organization of the Kitchen operation
Career Training & Development of the Kitchen Team to ensure ongoing succession
Driving the wider goals of the management team

Key skills and experience:
Fully qualified with experience in a similar Executive Chef role
Strong leadership and management skills
Proven experience in developing and training a kitchen brigade
Well organized, positive & an outgoing personality
Creative flair in food styling with a strong understanding of global food trend
Flexibility to work shifts including weekends
Team player with the ability to work under pressure
