Executive Assistant - Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor Office
An opportunity has arisen for a skilled Executive Assistant to support the Prime Minister’s Chief Science Advisor (PMCSA), Professor Juliet Gerrard, and her Office.
We are seeking an enthusiastic professional to provide effective administrative support to the PMCSA and ensure the smooth running of the Office, while maintaining the public profile of the Office by coordinating the website and media requests.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role include:
Ensuring the smooth operation of administrative and secretarial functions, including coordinating meetings, managing diaries, preparing agendas, and recording minutes.
Managing travel arrangements and logistics around special events and visits.
Presenting a professional and courteous reception to visitors and developing collaborative working relationships with key stakeholders.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
Who are we looking for?
Experience in a Personal Assistant/Executive Assistant role, or in a senior administrative position working with senior managers, preferably in the tertiary education or government sectors.
We are seeking somebody who has meticulous attention to detail and is highly organised, with the ability to manage competing demands, multitask and thrive in a truly dynamic environment.
You must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to act with discretion, as well as an advanced level of proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
An understanding of New Zealand government and the tertiary, research and science sectors is advantageous.
