QQ Homes Limited based in Milldale, Auckland, is committed to the design and build of consistently high quality home. We are looking for one Excavator Operator to join our awesome team. You will be expected to work at different sites throughout the Auckland region, a minimum of 30 hours per week from Monday to Friday as normal hours of work, and you may also be required to perform on Saturday as well. Please note this is a permanent full-time role and the hourly pay rate would be $29.66-$32 based on the candidates' experience and skills. Job Description for This Position Prepare and position equipment for operation Drive and control the equipment Operate controls to excavate, break, drill, level, compact, gouge out, move, load and spread earth, rock, rubble, soil and other materials Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work Monitor operation of equipment and adjust controls to regulate the operation, and ensure safety of other workers Operate the equipment manually and also through the use of electronic or technical methods of operation Follow verbal and paper instructions insure work performance Maintain and clean equipment, perform minor adjustment and repairs Key Requirements for Successful Applicants: It would be an advantage if you had one-year work experience in operating digger. If you do not have any experience, we are happy to provide on- the-job training. Proven ability of operating digger, such as vocational skills certificate or operator certificate, is required Punctual and reliable with a positive can-do attitude will be key in this role Be physically fit as the job involves heavy lifting. A positive and willing attitude to learn and progress. Able to work with deadlines and schedules, and available to work weekends if required.
