Then this might be the role for you!The South Auckland Social Wellbeing Board (SASWB) is an interagency multi sector government initiative seeking to improve health and social outcomes for children and their whaanau in South Auckland. It is doing this by bringing together local decision-makers to make more effective decisions based on local and national intelligence, evidence and whaanau and community insights.This position will take a key role in the SASWB to assist in 'on the ground' collection of evidence and insights to inform wider systems change. Approaches often use both quantitative and qualitative methods, with a strong focus on understanding and communicating whaanau voice.This position will work closely with the SASWB Implementation Office team across the SASWB work programme to help capture key quantitative and qualitative data and learnings which will feed back to continually shape the SASWB agency priorities and opportunities for system change.The mahi involve working with multiple agencies, organisations and whaanau, and will require information to be outputted in a variety of ways to meet the needs of various audiences.Essential: Undergraduate and postgraduate research degree in health, social science, public/population health, epidemiology, or related fieldAt least 3 years applied experience in research, data analysis and/or evaluationApplied experience of research, analysis, evaluation within the health or social sectorExperience in analysing information from both qualitative and quantitative sourcesExperience in formal report writing/presentingStrong data gathering, analysis, interpretation and presentation skills.Understanding of the NZ health and social sector This is a permanent full-time position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday and will be based in the SASWB Implementation Office which is at 19 Lambie Drive, Manukau.
