We are seeking a compassionate and innovative Event Manager to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial role in organizing and coordinating events and activities aimed at supporting international families studying and settling in New Zealand. Key Responsibilities: Promoting Events: Develop and implement promotional strategies to attract prospective attendees, utilizing various channels such as social media and networking opportunities, highlighting the educational, parenting, cultural, personal growth, and consciousness elevation aspects of the events. Client Consultation: Respond to inquiries from international families regarding event details, services provided, and benefits of participation, offering personalized guidance and recommendations. Client Meetings: Meet with families to understand their needs and preferences, discussing event options and tailoring packages to meet their requirements within budget constraints. Event Coordination: Plan and coordinate all aspects of events, including venue selection, catering arrangements, audiovisual equipment setup, transportation logistics, and participant registration. Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure services and products required for events, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness. Participant Registration: Manage participant registration processes, providing support and guidance to families throughout the registration period, and maintaining accurate attendance records. Financial Management: Manage event budgets effectively, monitoring expenses and revenues to ensure financial sustainability and accountability. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal teams, external partners, educational institutions, and community organizations to coordinate event logistics, foster collaboration, and maximize event impact. Evaluation and Reporting: Collect feedback from participants and stakeholders, evaluate event success against predetermined objectives, and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and inform future event planning efforts. Job pre-requisites: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Management, Marketing, or a related field, OR a minimum of three years' experience in event planning, coordination, management, or marketing, preferably in a multicultural or educational setting. Availability for domestic and overseas travel. Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent Computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
