Being the Enterprise Architect, you will lead the development of an enterprise architecture for this organisations capabilities, there will be a strong focus on reducing complexity, standards adoption, analysis of economic impact, and delivery and use of cloud services and enabling platforms.
This company is moving forward and they currently have lots of legacy systems and are driving to change this and move away from legacy thinking. You will be building up the architecture that they never had, and you will be building up from a low maturity and working with Senior stakeholders who will 100% support you.
In this role you will be covering strategies to path the direction forward and to see how this organisation will evolve their technology landscape in the future and covering investment planning as well.
What you?ll do
Lead the development, planning and implementation of targeted strategies and activities
Creation and evolution of the ?TownPlan?
Use work planning tools and methods which include taking strategic and tactical approaches to achieve results through high quality advice.
Build collaborative and positive relationships across the Directorate, Ministry, the wider sector, government and other external stakeholders.
Ensure all work reflects our responsibilities to the priority of equity and meeting Treaty obligations
Lead the development of an enterprise architecture for the ICT common capabilities
Ensure architecture and designs reduce complexity, maximise re-use of components, increase standardisation, increase security and privacy, focus on automation and cloud delivery.
Lead the annual Investment Planning process
Assist the Manager on the ISSP as required
What you?ll bring to the role
Expertise across a range of areas that may include architecture technology domains, information strategy and planning, service design, project delivery, vendor management and/or business change.
An appropriate qualification from an internationally recognised IT architecture body (e.g. TOGAF, IASA).
Expertise across a range of areas that include enterprise architecture, information strategy and planning, vendor management and/or business change.
Proven track record at aligning business strategy to business and technology architecture
Proven track record of establishing and growing positive collaborative relationships across a wide range of stakeholder groups.
Extensive experience with leading modern enterprise architecture best practices. Experience of applying enterprise architecture in a Lean-Agile method is desirable.
Deep knowledge of current and emerging data and digital trends in at least two domain areas
Ability to influence, motivate, coach and mentor staff and stakeholders.
An appropriate tertiary level professional qualification and/or significant relevant work experience in enterprise architecture.
