This role provides a chance to showcase your expertise in both surface and underground operations, offering a competitive market rate salary and the opportunity to travel across New Zealand to support Orica's services.What you will be doing Prepare and audit drill and blast designs ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards; Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize drilling and blasting processes; Conduct technical assessments and provide recommendations for continuous improvement; Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to drill and blast operations; Travel throughout New Zealand to support Orica's services and build strong client relationships. What you will bring Proven experience as a drill and blast specialist in both surface and underground operations; Tertiary qualifications in a related field will be advantageous; Technical background with a solid understanding of explosives, drilling, and blasting techniques; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clients; Willingness to travel within New Zealand; Self-starter with the ability to work independently; Team player who thrives in a collaborative environment; Results-driven mindset with a focus on achieving excellence.
