We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company.

Reporting to the Director of Engagement and Maori Responsiveness, this key leadership role is responsible for shaping the design, development and delivery of engagement and communication strategies that strengthen the connection with our stakeholders. You will be key in managing risk and promoting the positive work that council does that leads to an enhanced brand and reputation.
At least 7 years relevant experience in an engagement and communications role with some of this in local government (or similar environment)
An understanding of the fundamentals of excellent engagement
Proven experience of working with tangata whenua through establishment of relationships that are progressive
A relevant tertiary qualification e.g. communications / marketing / public relations / journalism
A full NZ drivers license
Demonstrated experience of leading high performing teams
Excellent communications skills
