This is mahi that will improve the health and well-being of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it…Te whiwhinga mahi| The OpportunityThis role is responsible for working though the National and Regional Emergency Management Teams, and in partnership with the wider health system to achieve Te Whatu Ora's strategic priorities.Several years of experience (in the range of 7+ years) in emergency management leadership and capacity/operational service delivery. Has an in-depth demonstrated understanding of the Civil Defence Emergency Management (CDEM) Act 2002 and the CDEM Plan Order 2015.Experience in leading collaborative engagement across the health system to facilitate the development and implementation of local and regional emergency management planning, strategies, and business continuity plans. Has experience in engaging with iwi, hapu and Maori communities and organisations to ensure key stakeholders are reflected throughout all emergency management strategies and planning to increase trust and confidence. Has worked with other government agencies in a range of settings and can relate at all levels.Has the ability to adapt to changing conditions as they emerge, switching between pre-planned responses and adaptive actions as necessary.Demonstrated leadership and management experience in the development and building of performing teams.A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
