Key Purpose of Role: The electrical engineer will be at the forefront of shaping Thundergrid's EV charging solutions. The role's focus is on collaboration, problem-solving, and long-term sustainable solutions. The engineer must collaborate and problem solve client's EV infrastructure needs and communicate about the electrical designs in a way that our team and client's understand what needs to happen. The goal is to help clients make the transition to cleaner energy systems in a safe and practical way. Technical Leadership Providing technical expertise around EV infrastructure and guiding others in the team. Develop detailed electrical designs for clients and projects.Provide electrical engineering support on projects.Review new charging products and their compliance documentation Deliver pre-sales technical specificationsProvide advice and guidance to clients, contractors and project teams in regards to electrical design and safetyProviding technical training and overview on new products and services Trouble shooting technical issues as they arise.Plan and document site cabling and power management requirements and designs. R&D and testing of new EV charging hardware to check safety standards, lab test reports and head the creation of SDoC certificationElectrical Compliance Provide guidance on electrical compliance and international testing standards. Development of local compliance documentation for new products. Professional Experience : 3 years proven electrical engineering experience with building services or equivalentAutoCAD or other software for developing single line diagramsExperience with software/tools to determine electrical requirements Knowledge and experience with AS/NZ standards and wiring rulesStrong communication skills - at all levels of the organisation and external stakeholders, with the written or spoken word. Qualification & Additional Requirement Electrical Engineering Degree Registered Electrician (desired)Excellent problem solving and documentation skills.Proactive "can do" attitude.Effective listening, constructive advice, and the ability to understand others.
