Teach Starter is a fast-growing company that provides premium educational teaching resources to primary school teachers all over the world. Our mission is to make every classroom buzz!
In this role, you will be responsible for establishing and managing our entire editorial framework and process for the review of all of our resources prior to publication to ensure that the documents produced are of a high quality, free from grammatical and spelling mistakes and in line with our style guide and visual identity.
--- So What Exactly Would I Be Doing? ---
In this role you will be:
Project managing the editorial process for both digital and written resources;
Proof reading and editing all digital and print materials prior to publishing to ensure they meet appropriate standards;
Working across all teams to ensure documents are vetted within appropriate timeframes to meet the resource deadline; and
Positively influencing, mentoring, coaching and training the team to produce quality documents.
--- What Skills & Experience Do I Need? ---
You will have:
3 years+ proven in-house editorial experience in both print and digital, preferably in an educational setting or in a publishing environment where layout, style and setup are critical;
Excellent organisational, project management and editorial skills;
A keen eye for detail and accuracy;
A high level of oral and written communication skills;
Strong business relationship building skills, demonstrating mutual respect and acceptance of diverse throughts and backgrounds;
An ability to challenge yourself and others to continually improve and achieve the desired standards; and
Bachelors Desgree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
