Earthmoving Machine Operators

Rooney Earthmoving is one of New Zealand's largest privately-owned civil contractors specialising in large earthworks and civil projects. The organisation has secured a major earthmoving project located at Ward, Marlborough and are seeking to employ additional Drivers and Operators.

Employees are being sourced to fill several machine operator positions including:

Drivers of 40 tonne articulated Dump Trucks
Skilled Excavator Operators including those with current GPS technology experience
Experienced large Dozer Operators
Heavy Roller Operators

Some skills training will be provided on site, however applicants with recent earthmoving machine experience will be favoured. In addition to machine operating skill, applicants should have a good knowledge on safety systems and working processes, civil construction techniques and machine productivity on a civil project.

Successful applicants will be offered fixed term roles for the life of the project; however, some opportunities will exist for permanent roles during the project.
