E&I Design/Drafter

The Company:
Based in the sunny Bay of Plenty, our client is a medium-sized industrial engineering consulting firm who specialise in delivering practical engineering solutions to their heavy manufacturing/processing clientele. With their mobile and responsive team, they tackle projects across a variety of industries and locations. The projects are also varied from new builds to process improvement and brownfield projects. This also includes maintenance and reliability projects for large sites.
The Role:
You will carry out E&I Design and Drafting for heavy industrial projects in a variety of sectors from Pulp & Paper, to Dairy and even power generation, in a variety of locations throughout New Zealand. You will work on both brownfield and greenfield projects, some of which you will handle from the start and some working with Senior E&I Engineers.
The candidate:
The ideal person will:
Be tertiary qualified in Electrical and/or Instrument Engineering
Have 7 years' plus experience in design/drafting on E&I projects
Be familiar with NZ Electrical regulations
Be proficient with AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks software
Have experience in the project management of small projects
Be a people person, capable of building good working relationships with coworkers and clients alike.

You will be a team player, but someone also comfortable working on your own, someone, someone with a broad range of E&I knowledge, especially as applied to heavy industry.
