Smart Environmental is New Zealand's largest Kiwi owned waste and recycling company and we are on the hunt for an energetic and fit driver to deliver Tauranga's new kerbside glass collection service, which started in October last year!

The work involves the sole operation of a brand-new LEV recycling truck, collecting glass from the kerbside in semi-rural and urban areas in Tauranga.

As our key brand ambassadors and service delivery staff, we need a driver who loves to keep fit, has fantastic people skills and who has an excellent track record of safe commercial driving. Our trucks are fitted with the latest technology, so you'll need to be good with computers too!

Training in Smart H&S policies and vehicle operation will be provided for the right individual.
Things you need to know:

Vehicle specific training will be provided
The role is based in Tauranga
Working days are anticipated to be Monday to Friday, 40-45 hours a week

Requirements for this role:

Class 2 drivers licence
Clean driving record
The ability to manage a single operator collection vehicle, work well under pressure, and adapt to developing requirements
Are a self-motivated, positive, people person

Experience driving refuse or recycling vehicles would be advantageous, but it is not a necessity.
