Rooney Earthmoving Ltd is one of New Zealand's leading privately owned civil contractors specialising in major earthworks and civil projects. The organisation employs 230 staff and operates a significant fleet of heavy machinery in the South Island.New appointments are required for this growing company including:Experienced Qualified DrainlayerA Drainlayer who can join our existing team who constructs underground infrastructure in subdivisions, large civil jobs, and irrigation projects. The role requires a current PGDB Drainlayer Qualification and/or a Level 3 or 4 National Certificate in Civil Infrastructure. Skilled DrainlayerAlthough unqualified, the skilled hardworking Drainlayer will have a good knowledge to civil and urban drainage and be willing to train toward a qualification in drainage or similar. Excavator operating ability will be an advantage to the applicant. These roles are permanent positions, which are located at all branches and reporting to the Area Manager. Wages and conditions are flexible and will be negotiated with the successful applicants, including accommodation in some cases.
