Management - Vocational (Education & Training)English Teaching College (ETC) has been delivering English Language tuition to former refugee, migrant and international students for 30 years. We have schools in Palmerston North, Wellington CBD and Lower Hutt.Our Directors of Studies (DOS) are key roles in our schools, coordinating a wide range of classes from Absolute Beginner to Advanced Plus. We deliver the New Zealand Certificate in English Language (NZCEL), Intensive Literacy and Numeracy programmes and programmes designed to teach the exam skills required for IELTS and Cambridge exams.Our Wellington CBD and Lower Hutt campuses have a team of 25+ teachers and 140+ students who are led by the DOS.Our DOS work as a team across the organisation to ensure high performing consistent teaching and learning programmes are delivered within funding and quality guidelines.Key responsibilitiesTo be responsible, with the Senior Manager for the delivery of quality education programmes for all ETC studentsTo be responsible, with the Executive Team, teaching and administration staff, for the pastoral care, safety and wellbeing of our learners.Undertake the on-going administration, planning and management of the Wellington region's campuses (Wellington City and Lower Hutt) in association with the Southern Operational Manager, Senior Manager and Executive TeamIn association with the Southern Operational Manager provide and manage resources within clearly defined accountability guidelinesManage the academic team in consultation with the Southern Operational Manager and Senior ManagerWork with the Senior Manager and Quality Assurance Manager to contribute to the design of new programmes, qualifications and assessment as requiredWork with the Senior Manager and Quality Assurance Manager to maintain internal and external moderation systemsIn association with the Senior Manager and Quality Assurance Manager, ensure that the necessary approvals and accreditation from NZQA are maintained for the schools' programmes.In association with the Southern Operational Manager establish/maintain links with relevant professional, community and government agencies and local employersContribute to and comply with the development of teaching programmes, policies, strategic goals and educational directions of the schoolsEnsure procedures and processes reflect the requirements of legislation and the ETC Quality Systems Manual (QSM), TEC and NZQAKEY TASKSAcademic LeadershipMeeting NZQA and TEC RequirementsProgramme and Course AdministrationStudent Administration and Advice.Your application will include the following questions: How many years of people management experience do you have?Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in New Zealand?How many years' experience do you have as a Pastoral Care Role?Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.#J-18808-Ljbffr
