About the Role
Reporting to the Clinical Director as part of the clinical management team this is a pivotal role to head the largest clinical workforce of the organisation. Keeping in mind the national health objectives and those of the local DHBs, develop models of care reflective of the community needs and continuum of care. With oversight of the nurses' professional development, develop resources and opportunities for nursing across the network. Leaders who are open to working in an evolving environment and who want to be able to influence change will thrive.
Duties
* Provide strategic oversight of nursing across the network
* Drive development of enhanced nursing practice through the organisation
* Implement changing models of care, service design and new roles to enable optimal use of the nursing workforce
* Work collaboratively across the health system, proactively with communities, across professions and with a range of cross-sector agencies
* Manage employee relations on a macro level
Skills & Experience
* Extensive experience in a similar role in a comparable setting
* Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills
* Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
* Well developed digital literacy
* Professional, self-confident team player
* A genuine desire to make a difference
