As a Director of Business Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company and driving our growth strategy. You will be responsible for leading our fundraising efforts, pitching our vision to investors, and securing funding to fuel our expansion not only that but alsodeveloping new business opportunities, creating business plans, generating leads, building strategic partnerships, and negotiating contracts. This role is located in Auckland, New Zealand, with flexibility for some remote work.Responsibilities:Develop and execute a strategic fundraising plan to support the company's growth and objectives.Identify and cultivate relationships with potential investors, including venture capitalists, angel investors, and strategic partners.Craft compelling pitch decks, presentations, and financial models to effectively.Communicate the company's vision, value proposition, and growth potential. Lead investor meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure funding for the company. Manage the due diligence process, including coordinating with legal, financial, and technical advisors.Collaborate with the executive team to align fundraising efforts with the company's strategic priorities and business objectives.Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and investor preferences to optimize fundraising strategies.Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise awareness and build relationships within the investment community.Qualifications Proven track record of successfully raising funds for startups, preferably in the agricultural or technology sectors. Extensive network of investors, venture capitalists, and industry contacts.
