The Digital & Communications Manager will manage digital marketing and communications responsibilities for South Bank and Roma Street Parkland. This involves promoting South Bank and Roma Street Parkland as well as their activations via websites, eDMs and social media; overseeing media, stakeholder engagement and corporate communications outputs and managing two staff members: South Bank and Roma Street Parklands Digital Marketing Executive and Communications Coordinator. This is a maternity leave contract for an initial 9 month period.
Outcomes for the Role
Communications
You will be responsible for overseeing and delivering PR efforts at South Bank and Roma Street Parkland (including strategies, famils and media outputs) in consultation with relevant stakeholders. You will have strong experience in delivering media launches and openings which are required for South Bank and Roma Street Parkland events, works and new assets.
Digital Marketing
You will be able to demonstrate previous experience in developing and implementing digital marketing strategies for events and activations, including managing all media buy, media production, competitions and cross promoting events though other BUs channels. This includes managing advertising (such as Google ads) out of business hours, such as on weekends and public holidays. You will also have previous experience in briefing and liaising with South Bank and Roma Street Parklands graphic designer or external agencies to develop digital creative.
Effective Relationship & Stakeholder Management
We are highly connected precinct, so it is pivotal for you to foster productive and mutually beneficial relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, precinct partners, sponsors, consultants and agencies, negotiating and leveraging the maximum value for the South Bank and Roma Street Parkland precincts and Brisbane Marketing.
We are a strengths-based organisation and believe that people are much more effective when they are in a job that plays to their strengths. Naturally you will have previous experience in a similar role and the ability to seamlessly transition yourself as the Digital & Communications Manager South Bank & Roma Street Parklands
Additionally, the strengths needed to successfully achieve the outcomes above include the following:
At least five years of experience in a similar role;
Tertiary qualifications in communications, digital marketing or marketing.
Experience in managing websites, social media channels and EDMs;
Experience in managing marketing campaigns and online media buy;
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills;
Experience with ExactTarget and Sitecore;
Knowledge of SEO;
Experience in managing Google Adwords and Facebook ad campaigns;
Budget management skills and;
Leadership skills.
