Use your broad range ordietetic abilities to help within a talented multi-disciplinary team.16 hour a week postcovering Parental leaveMo te tunga | About the Role AshburtonHospital provides a range of Inpatient, Day patient, Outpatient and Communitybased health services to the community. The Hospital has 74 beds andannually admits around 5,000 patients, cares for 2,600 day patients and 15,000patients attend outpatient appointments.
Ruralhealth services employ around 550 full time and part time staff, which includesa clinical workforce in medicine, surgery and gynaecology, supported by nursingand allied health professionals with extensive experience in a wide range ofclinical situations.
This rolewill involve providing clinical dietetic inpatient and outpatient services toAshburton and Rural Health Service. You would be part of a small team ofdietitians who work together to provide a generalist service. The dietitiansare supported by the Professional Lead of Nutrition and Dietetics from theChristchurch Health Campus.
Ko wai koe | About You In this role, you will be responsible for:
Providingnutritional assessment and nutritional care plans to inpatients and outpatients Providing nutritional education to patients, enthusing  and motivating real behaviour change Working within a multi-disciplinary team and liaising  with health providersAdrive to ensure best health outcomes for people with nutrition relateddisorders;Theability to work within a team and contribute to the provision of quality care;Being self-motivated, organised and enjoy a challenge;Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build andnurture relationships with patients and other people;You'll be aNZ Registered Dietitian, preferably with 2 years' experience, with a currentAPC, being an Endorsed Prescriber and DNZ membership."Ko nga tangata, te matua mahi - Putting people at the heart of all we do"
