The Taranaki Foot Protection Service (FPS) has an exciting vacancy for a Diabetes Podiatrist. This varied and dynamic role supports service users across the Taranaki district, focusing on reducing avoidable amputations and unplanned admissions for those with High-risk Diabetes foot health; and increasing accessibility and equity across the rohe.
The FPS offers clinics at all levels of health care in Taranaki. We are driven to provide gold-standard Podiatry, education and support for the communities we work in. The FPS connects patients and whanau with multiple providers and works as an essential part of the Diabetes Integrated Team, who oversee a progressive model of care spanning Primary, Secondary,Iwi andCommunity; MDT meetingsand clinics bringingspecialists together for improved patientoutcomes.
The Role This role is open to podiatrists f rom graduate to highly experienced, with a preference for applicants with a background in Diabetes Podiatry or other crossover skills. Join a small team of podiatrists offering gold standard care for patients and wh a nau.
This position will work collaboratively with health professionals across primary, secondary , iwi and NGO providers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate sound clinical reasoning skills, be dedicated to reflexive practice and ongoing development. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must have.
They will be a registered Podiatrist with a current PBNZ annual practising certificate.
