Development Engineer - Full Time

You will play a crucial role in supporting our strategic direction through efficient management and development of subdivision and land use projects. This includes overseeing transportation, water, wastewater, and storm water infrastructure to ensure compliance with regulations and to meet the evolving needs of our community. At WDC, we are dedicated to building and strengthening relationships with Iwi, Hapu, and Whanau within our district.Ko wai koe | About youYou will have:High attention to detail and accuracyExcellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsExceptional interpersonal skillsGood knowledge of the Resource Management ActA good understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi and its implications for Council.You will be solution focused with a commitment to continuous improvement. You'll hold relevant qualifications (e.g., New Zealand Certificate in Drainage, NZCE), and have at least five years' experience in construction related to transport and three waters infrastructure.
