About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for a Developer to join our Technology team. Reporting to the Principal Developer, you will be working within a team that is responsible for nurturing a set of products that includes iterating on ideas based on insights, and supporting them in production, all this with a keen eye towards continuous delivery. As a team we always welcome new ideas, we constantly like to improve our processes and implement newer trends in technology. You will work closely with the product managers, principal developer, senior developer and other members of the team as you work on various projects to enhance and maintain our products. You will have sufficient training opportunity to further improve your craftsmanship.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
Support the delivery of outstanding solutions that address Australian Crickets needs.
Work within a team and our partners on delivering new experiences in the digital products that your team is responsible for.
Contribute to the development practice at Cricket Australia to ensure we continually improve our engineering standards.
Break down barriers within the team, to ensure everyone is working together and not in isolation.
Work with the team and contribute towards our goal of continuous delivery
Innovate and enhance current business solutions and recognise the areas of the systems that require changes.
Provide technical leadership when working on projects following modern day development practices and to ensure technology needs are balanced with the outcomes we are aiming for.

About you
You are a team player with great interpersonal skills and a proven track record building and leading teams. These skills enable you to communicate effectively to multiple stakeholders (both technical and non-technical. You are proactive, positive and passionate about what you do. To be successful in your application, you will have:

Essential

Bachelor of Science (Software/Systems Engineering/Information Technology)
2-3 years experience in software development
Solid understanding of web / HTTP fundamentals
Strong development experience in .Net (4.5 +) - C#, ASP.NET, MVC
Good development experience in Restful services and APIs.
Experience in SQL
Good experience with source control
Good written and verbal communications skills
A desire to continually learn and embrace emerging technologies

Desirable

Masters in Software Engineering or related technical discipline
Exposure to .Net Core
Experience with Sitecore CMS platform
Experience with customer facing digital systems
Exposure to cloud technologies (Azure preferable)
Experience working within Kanban project delivery model
Skills in modern software development techniques such as continuous delivery, test driven development, pair programming, etc
