Developer - Data & Insights

Trade Me's Data and Insights team have the crucial role of looking after the data that includes approximately 6 billion searches that go into the Trade Me platform each year. Using the latest and greatest technologies, our Discovery squad uses this data to create machine learning models that help make Trade Me more relevant for our users, and we need a data-focussed intermediate-senior Developer to join our team in Wellington.

Be creative as part of a dynamic squad, developing exciting products for our customers. You'll contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from ideation and design, to user testing and more.
Provide data insights, using SQL, Google Analytics etc.
Understand our strategic objectives and ensure we're working towards them.
Facilitate and conduct workshops when required.
Take part in research and development - you'll be investigating and contributing new ideas that keep us at the forefront of innovation.

So far so good? What we're looking for from you is:

An intermediate to senior level of experience in similar roles.
Experience with Python and Terraform - or a willingness to upskill in this area.
Experience with Agile software development would be very beneficial.
You're a team player who shares ideas, and contributes to team goals and objectives.
