Job Title: Desktop Virtualization Architect Location: REMOTE Duration : 12 – 18+ months Pay rate: $80/hr on W2 Visa : US citizen Duties: This an opportunity for a seasoned Desktop Virtualization Architect to join our family of high performing individuals.
Seeking a motivated self-starter to join a team that provides expert content and professional leadership on complex Technical Strategy, Architecture assignments, and projects in the Virtual Workspace area.
Undertakes complex projects requiring specialized technical knowledge, across multiple disciplines. Makes well-thought-out decisions on complex IT architecture issues. Coordinates with users to determine requirements. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Monitors project schedules and costs. Exercises considerable creativity, foresight, and judgment in conceiving, planning, and delivering initiatives. Uses deep professional knowledge and acumen to advise functional leaders. Focuses on providing thought leadership within Architecture but works on broader projects, which require understanding of wider business. Recognized internally and externally as a subject matter expert.
Must possess good documentation habits and skills. Capable of presenting in front of internal teams and senior leadership.
This role is expected to mentor other Architects, Engineers and Operations staff both one on one and through activities such as team Lunch and Learn.
Remote and/or partial on-site at multiple locations, mainly on the East coast.
Limited travel as necessary for team building, meetings and discovery. Core working hours 8-5 ET.
Skills:
• Architect/Senior Engineer Level Skills: Minimum 1 area of extreme focus required, all or most preferred.
• Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVADs) – Preferably Citrix Cloud. MCS, PVS, Workspace App
• Public Cloud – Preferably desktop workloads in Azure.
• Application Delivery – Citrix App Layering (UniDesk), Liquidware Labs FlexApp, ELM
• Persona Management – Liquidware labs Profile Unity, FlexDisk, FSLogix, UPM, WEM
• Hosting Hardware – Preferably Nutanix or other HCI
• Hypervisor – Preferably AHV and/or ESXi
• NetScaler – and additional access layer components; SAML, OKTA, FAS, StoreFront, ADM, SPA, Enterprise Browser
• Monitoring/Alerting/Reporting – Splunk, Tableau, Dynatrace, ControlUp, Aternity, NextThink, Intune
• Thin Client Management – Preferably Stratodesk NoTouch
• Virtual Image Management
• GPO/Active Directory
