Details of the offer

We are looking for a Designer to join our client working with a luxury range of products that form an important part of their clients' home and/or business design. The company provides beautiful and long lasting products that are used by architects, builders, homeowners and developers all around New Zealand. The role is for someone with a technical design background. The detail in the designs are intensive and you need a very strong technical understanding. Essentially you will be part of the production process of the product and therefore you need to be able to work towards tight deadlines and be prepared to work under pressure. You could come from an Industrial Design background or potentially from an Architectural space, but you have a keen interest and mind for all things technical. We would also be keen to speak to people from an Engineering or Mechanical background. The company has been operating for over 20 years and they have built up a great reputation.
The role:
Using computer programs (AutoCAD / 3D Design) to design the products
Programming so the factory team can manufacture the items and the installers can install them
Accurate design and programming with no errors
Liaise with customer to ensure the product is as they desire
Assist customers with choosing their final design
Able to use computer software to program CNC router
Clear job card designs and programmes, so the factory knows exactly what to make
Issuing of installation documents to ensure a smooth installation process

What we need from you:
At least 3 years related, full time work experience post-graduation
Qualifications in Architecture / Industrial Design would be highly regarded
Architectural experience or manufacturing experience would be beneficial
Experienced in using a range of design software - 3D Design experience, using AutoCAD software
Highly detail orientated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Likes to see work through from start to finish

If this sounds like a role you could see yourself in, then I'd like to hear from you and you need to APPLY NOW! The company will offer remuneration in line with experience and the role will fit someone who likes to get the job done whilst working for a company that will take care of you as an employee. The work environment is small and not overly social, so keep that in mind to ensure the culture will fit your personality.
