About the role: This is an exciting design leadership role in the communications team, where you will be under the visionary wing of our Content Chief. This role invites you to unleash your creative prowess across a range of projects, with your typographical magic, graphical genius, and conceptual brilliance, weaving connections across our wharua, hapu, and whanau through designs that speak, resonate, and inspire. As a vital part of the communications team critical thinking is central. You will be analysing projects through a creative lens to ensure content aligns with its intended purpose. Collaboration among the team is key to crafting successful content, contributing to content design, and providing guidance to the Graphic Designer. About you: From large-scale publications and events to everyday tasks, you will be driven to think with purpose and creativity in an ever-changing environment. Embracing new ideas and demonstrating empathy toward both learning and unlearning will empower you to excel in this role. Your confidence and willingness to share your extensive design knowledge will inspire and enhance the team's skills and capabilities. Advanced knowledge in design principles and processes. Proficiency in Adobe suites (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop). Manage and prioritize a diverse workload, meet deadlines, and uphold TUT standards. Experience in management and/or leadership role.
