Design Engineer

Hi,
We are looking for a student with some solid hands-on experience in mechanical engineering with deep knowledge in material. We have one-off project for metal and plastic (polycarbonate) joining work for a retail trading store in Auckland. Joining work between the same material types such as metal to metal and plastic to plastic is a simple one, but joining plastic to metal will present you an interesting intellectual challenge.
Job Requirements:
- You must have hands-on experience with polycarbonate sheet;
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in material joining/bolting work through apprenticeship and full-time jobs;
- Minimum first degree in mechanical engineering/material science; and
- If you have flair for industrial design, that would be even better.
