This is an exciting opportunity for a specialist, who is committed to the further development of dermatology and skin lesion services across the Hawke's Bay health sector.The position is based at Te Whatu Ora Hawke's Bay , with 0.8 FTE and there are opportunities to increase hours in private practice locally.As a Specialist Physician in Dermatology you will work with the other Dermatologist, Dermatology Clinical Nurse Specialist and Dermatology Nurses in the Whanau & Communities Group. You will provide clinical services that include outpatient, community assessment and management of people requiring specialist dermatology care, and community-based support services. Clinics are provided in Hastings, Napier, Wairoa and Waipukurau. Strong clinical liaison with other surgical specialist such as General Surgery, ENT and Ophthalmology and non-surgical departments such as Paediatrics and the full range of medical specialties will be maintained.Te Whatu Ora Hawke's Bay is situated in Hastings. It is a large secondary level, 400 bed accredited public facility providing acute and elective care for a region of over 162,000 people. The hospital is continuously improving facilities. It provides a full range of adult and paediatric clinical and support services expected in a district general hospital. Te Matau a Maui, Hawke's Bay has extensive clinical teaching commitments in partnership with Wellington Medical School, University of Otago and the local Eastern Institute of Technology.
