Dependency Management Lead

Dependency Management Lead
Company:

Bnz

Details of the offer

Here at BNZ, it's about more than just banking. We mahi (work) together in an agile, energising environment to create innovative solutions though our promise 'If you can imagine a better future, let's find a way'.We are looking for a Dependency Management Lead to join our Value Stream team. The primary purpose of the role is to help Customer, Products & Services Unit (CP&S) realise value of our work by ensuring the right initiatives/activities are prioritised and managed. The role is crucial to the establishment & embedding of principles and standards regarding value-driven decision-making across CP&S, particularly with dependency conflict resolution. We spoke with our Head of Value Stream (who you'd report to), and she let us know the following about the turanga (role):What projects / work will the candidate be working on now and into the next year? You will work with the immediate team members to help CP&S oversee value realisation and management. You will also work as part of a newly established CP&S Delivery Office to oversee the ongoing management of external dependencies of CP&S initiatives, work across the enterprise to enable initiatives to make trade-offs and escalate material conflicts for senior leader decisions when required. What is the team culture and environment like? Our tima (team) is made up of problem solvers with different strengths, all of whom share the passion for first principles & systems thinking; we want to improve the way CP&S decide, invest, and deliver value to customers. As a team, we prioritise trust, communication and having fun! What is the most exciting thing about this opportunity?BNZ is investing heavily into delivering capabilities to set us up for the future. This is a new role created to enable multiple initiatives delivering safely and in a way that prioritise the overarching customer value, not outputs. So you get exposure to many large-scale initiatives, enabling them to deliver customer value. What is the most challenging thing about this opportunity? The flip side of this role being new means you'd need to be comfortable being in the grey and to 'own your space.' You won't be alone (the team will be with you all the way) but your confidence and leadership will be required to really own your space. What will success look like for the candidate in this role?If you've set and implemented a value-based dependency management standard that works well in the BNZ environment and can show its effectiveness based on delivery risk mitigated and delivery outcomes enabled, that'd be a job well done. What is your favourite thing about working for BNZ?Being surrounded by passionate and driven tangata (people) who help each other and want to provide great outcomes for our customers. The amazing staff benefits are also a huge pull - flexible working, six weeks' annual leave, subsidised health and life insurance, and a generous parental leave package.Nau Mai ki te Peke o Aotearoa | Come to the Bank of New ZealandIf you are keen to join a fun organisation where we are proud of our culture and how we are helping New Zealanders to 'Find their way', then please review the Job Description for more details on the role.
