Your day-to-day activities will involve bringing the cows in for milking, doing the milking, shifting both the cows and the young stock, etc.You will support the Farm Manager in the day-to-day planning, coaching staff and running of the farm including include taking on responsibility for feed allocation, animal health, budgeting, and animal records. You will work as part of a 5:2 roster system.This role will also provide you with the chance to be the go-to support for the Farm Manager, which will involve stepping in to manage the operations when the Manager is on rostered time off.Please note: We are flexible on start date for the right candidate, can be immediate or end of season.The FarmLandsdown Dairy is approximately 262 ha effective and utilises a composting barn. Located 14 minutes south of Balclutha, we milk 650 cows using a 50-bail rotary with ACRs and Milk Hub technology. Recreational activities are abound, both inside and outside the farm boundary.About YouYou will demonstrate strong people management skills, enthusiasm, and strong communication.
